US TV host Conan O’Brien makes history with trip to Cuba

Havana.– Comedian and late-night television host Conan O’Brien made history this week with a special taping in Havana, Cuba, becoming the first American late-night host in more than a half-century to film in Cuba.

"Relations between Cuba and the United States are finally starting to thaw. I though this was an amazing opportunity for me to come to Cuba, talk to the people, get to know them," O’Brien said.

Last week, socialite Paris Hilton dined with British supermodel Naomi Campbell at the closing gala of the International Habano Cigar Festival in a public relations stunt aimed at promoting the island. They dined with the son of Fidel Castro, Fidel Castro Díaz-Balart.
