Fernández and Adams discuss enhancing conditions for Dominicans in New York

New York.- Senator-elect Omar Fernández of Fuerza del Pueblo met with New York City Mayor Eric Adams over the weekend to discuss collaborative initiatives benefiting the Dominican community in the city.

During the meeting, Fernández and Adams agreed to develop a framework for joint efforts aimed at enhancing security in Dominican neighborhoods and promoting entrepreneurship within the community. They also discussed finding ways to lower the costs of remittances sent by Dominicans to their families, using technological tools to reduce commission fees.

The partnership is focused on addressing critical issues and advancing the economic and social development of Dominicans in New York City.

“I am delighted to have found a committed ally in Mayor Eric Adams. Together, we will implement strategies to improve public safety and create new opportunities for our entrepreneurs,” said Fernández.

Mayor Adams added, “The Dominican community is essential to New York’s social and economic landscape. This collaboration with Senator Fernández will help us better protect our citizens and support those looking to start and expand their businesses.”

Instead of making the Dr better and fight corruption and raise the wages to the Dominican people and fight illegal immigration . This man is here to try to low remittances to send back to the dr govt so they can get there cut. I guess is not enough the 13 billion dollars that we send over there. Like father like son. When he gets elected he build another train.
