Newark Dominican parade honors La Romana

Newark, New Jersey.- Last Sunday, municipal leaders including Mayor Eduardo Kery Metivier and Vice Mayor Nelly Bonilla had the privilege of participating in the Dominican Parade in Newark, New Jersey, which was dedicated to the province of La Romana.

The parade, lasting about two hours, featured floats, companies, and organizations proudly displaying the Dominican Republic’s national symbols—red, white, and blue. The procession traveled from Broadway Street to Lake Street, the designated festival stage, where the event concluded with a grand concert that continued past ten o’clock at night, featuring performances by various artists.

The parade saw the presence of local authorities and special guests from the Dominican Republic, including Mayor Metivier and Vice Mayor Bonilla of La Romana.
