Dominican Republic Entities Launch “Dominican Week in Spain”

Spain.- The Dominican Week in Spain Foundation, alongside the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic, the Mayor’s Office of the National District, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, officially announced the “Dominican Week in Spain” (SEDE). Scheduled for November 4-7, 2024, in Madrid, the event aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the Dominican Republic and Spain, showcasing Dominican culture, identity, and traditions while fostering business and cooperation opportunities.

SEDE will feature a variety of activities, including meetings with Spanish authorities, media, and specialized conferences on topics such as logistics, artificial intelligence, free trade agreements, and investments. The event is designed to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration between the two nations. Cultural highlights will include rum and cigar tastings, along with the recognition of prominent members of the Dominican diaspora in Spain.

The event will also serve as a platform for promoting public-private partnerships, with discussions on investment opportunities and collaboration in sectors like the Zaragoza Logistics Hub.
