Mayor Carolina Mejía meets with Panamanian President

Panamá.- Carolina Mejía, mayor of the National District, met with Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino on Thursday as part of her visit to Panama City. The private meeting took place at the Las Garzas Palace, where both officials discussed matters of mutual interest.

During her visit, Mejía also held talks with Panama City Mayor Mayer Mizrachi on Wednesday, emphasizing cooperation between the two capitals. She expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to strengthen ties with Panamanian officials.

Mejía is set to participate in a panel on female leadership at the International Economic Forum, organized by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF). She will join Walléria Viana Sampaio from the Bank of Brazil and former Panamanian ambassador Natalia Royo in discussing women’s roles in leadership and governance.
