Reports indicate U.S. preparing airstrikes on Venezuela

Miami, Florida.- According to reports from the Miami Herald and The Wall Street Journal, the United States is allegedly preparing to launch airstrikes on military installations in Venezuela, marking a potential escalation against President Nicolás Maduro’s government. Citing sources close to the Donald Trump administration, the Miami Herald stated that such operations could take place “within days or even hours,” while the Wall Street Journal noted that a final decision on ground strikes has not yet been made.

The reported offensive would aim to pressure Maduro to relinquish power and dismantle the so-called “Cartel of the Suns,” a network allegedly involved in drug trafficking and controlled by Venezuelan military officials. Possible targets include military-run ports, airports, naval bases, and airstrips allegedly linked to narcotics operations.

These reports surface as Trump intensifies anti-narcotics efforts, boasting of recent U.S. bombings of suspected drug-smuggling vessels in the Pacific and Caribbean that resulted in 61 deaths. Meanwhile, the United Nations condemned the U.S. attacks at sea as violations of international law, describing them as “extrajudicial killings” and urging Washington to halt such operations.

While news outlets are free to print whatever opinion they may have, they certainly do not dictate or spread official intention of the government. The government will do that directly.
