Santo Domingo.- To boost tourism and promote air transport competitiveness between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, Dominican Civil Aviation (JAC) president Luis Camilo, met with Puerto Rico Secretary of State, Luis Rivera.
In the meeting at JAC headquarters the officials and their respective delegations formed a working table with representatives of the tourism and air-commercial sector, aimed at surpassing the 375,000 passengers per year traveling between both destinations by establishing aeronautical fees and tax charges more affordable to air transport users.
Rivera praised the willingness of all the sectors for their vision of “creating initiatives that result in increased traffic and connectivity between both destinations.”
Camilo: “Today we are launching a series of proposals in search of growth and exchange in our region, wagering on air transport as a backbone in the economy and the development of State.”
