Big business: President’s speech creates a climate of confidence

Santo Domingo.- National Business Council (CONEP) vice president César Dargam on Tuesday said president Danilo Medina’s speech creates a climate of confidence in the country, and that it adheres to what the Dominican Constitution mandates.

“We value the speech last night by President Danilo Medina. We understand that it has been attached to what is established by the Constitution of the Republic. It clears up the panorama and creates a climate of trust,” he said.

“Now what we expect is that Congress, the government and the productive sectors can continue working and continue contributing to this country being further developed.”

When asked about the political leadership’s challenge in the run-up to the 2020 election, Dargam said the main challenge is to embrace the new regulations that exist in the country.
