Deputy Amado Díaz criticizes proposal for parallel law to penal code on abortion causes

Santo Domingo.- Deputy Amado Díaz has voiced his concerns over the proposal to create a parallel law alongside the Penal Code to address the three causes related to abortion. Díaz considers this proposal irresponsible on the part of the legislators suggesting it.

Díaz believes that instead of creating a separate law, the issue should be discussed and voted on article by article, allowing each legislator to openly express their position on the matter. He further asserts that some legislators may hold contradictory views, expressing one stance privately and another publicly.

The legislator from the Modern Revolutionary Party emphasizes that promoting a separate law for addressing abortion causes is an irresponsible approach that avoids directly tackling the issue at hand.
