Dominican Republic to host XI Energy Week for Latin America and the Caribbean in 2026

Paraguay.- The Dominican Republic has been chosen to host the eleventh (XI) Energy Week for Latin America and the Caribbean in 2026, as announced by Minister of Energy and Mines, Joel Santos. The decision was made during the closing session of Olade 2024, where Santos highlighted the event as a crucial opportunity to enhance cooperation and dialogue among energy sector stakeholders in the region, aiming for a more sustainable energy future.

The next Energy Week will be held in Chile in 2025, leading up to the Dominican Republic’s hosting in 2026. These meetings are significant for promoting political and strategic dialogue on energy issues among the 27 member countries of OLADE, fostering strategies to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and transition towards a more sustainable energy matrix.
