“Recorriendo con Salvador” named Best Tourism Portal in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Digital Media Observatory successfully held the 7th edition of the National Digital Journalism Award 2024, attended by a large number of journalists, communicators, and digital media owners from across the country.

Among the winners, the portal Recorriendo con Salvador was recognized as the best digital medium for tourism topics in 2024. This marks the third consecutive year that the portal has received this award, highlighting its consistent efforts in providing news, reports, and information about the tourism world both domestically and internationally.

“Recorriendo con Salvador” is a leading digital platform dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage of the Dominican Republic’s vibrant tourism sector. With a focus on delivering high-quality content, the portal has become a go-to resource for travelers, professionals and locals alike.

During the award ceremony, the portal’s director, journalist Salvador Batista, expressed gratitude for the recognition and summarized over a decade of the portal’s mission to deliver information on the tourism sector.

The event took place in the Aida Bonnelly Hall of the National Theater, with the support of Banco Popular and the Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium. It also has the backing of Grabo Estilo and Aden Business School, with veteran journalist José Rafael Sosa serving as the jury president.

Observatory president Cristal Acevedo, in her keynote speech, congratulated digital media owners, communicators, and journalists who have worked diligently over the past year to improve the content they produce for the web.

As for the Grand National Digital Journalism Award, this year it was bestowed upon journalist José Peguero, founder of ensegundos.net, who has dedicated himself to his craft with hard work and determination.

By consistently recognizing excellence in digital journalism, the National Digital Journalism Award plays a vital role in promoting the growth and development of the Dominican digital media landscape.
