Mayor of Nagua honored as International Grand Marshal at Boston Dominican Parade

Boston, Massachusetts.- Mayor Junior Peralta of Nagua, María Trinidad Sánchez, was elected international grand marshal at the Dominican Parade in Boston, Massachusetts. Representing his municipality and province, Peralta participated actively in the event alongside Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Lawrence Mayor Brian Depeña, and other local and Dominican officials.

The weekend festivities began with a gathering of Nagueros and provincial residents in Lawrence on Saturday, August 16, where Peralta received additional recognition from the city and the parade’s organizing committee.

The Dominican Parade showcased the country’s rich culture, music, and folklore, drawing large crowds along Boston’s streets and culminating in Franklin Park with performances by artists such as Fernando Villalona, Eudis the Invincible, and Alex Bueno.

Organized annually by the Dominican House of Culture in Boston, this year’s parade was dedicated to the province of María Trinidad Sánchez.
