CES to deliver final report on Haitian crisis dialogue to President and former leaders
Santo Domingo.- The Economic and Social Council (CES), coordinator of the consultation process “Dialogue on the Haitian crisis and its implications for the Dominican Republic,” has finalized the agenda for delivering its Final Report. The document, signed on September 2, outlines 26 lines of action and 151 proposals that synthesize the agreements reached during this national dialogue.
The report reflects the outcome of six roundtable discussions with delegates, experts, and key stakeholders, who examined six thematic areas in an open and technically rigorous process where collaboration prevailed over differences. According to the CES, the consensus achieved represents an important milestone in addressing the challenges posed by the Haitian crisis.
The presentation of the Final Report will follow a set schedule: President Luis Abinader will receive it on September 9 at the National Palace, followed by former presidents Danilo Medina (September 10), Hipólito Mejía (September 11), and Leonel Fernández (September 16). Once these meetings are completed, the CES will publish the full report on its institutional website for public access.
