Nuria Piera hands over N Investiga episodes to Pepca in SeNaSa case

Santo Domingo.- Journalist Nuria Piera confirmed on Tuesday that she has provided the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca) with episodes of her investigative program N Investiga related to the corruption case under investigation at the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa).

Piera explained to El Día that such requests are common in cases of this nature and are not unusual. Pepca formally asked the journalist to urgently submit all broadcasts of the program addressing alleged fraudulent actions within SeNaSa.

The request, made through an official letter, is supported by Article 285 of the Dominican Criminal Procedure Code, which authorizes the Public Prosecutor’s Office to obtain documents or audiovisual material relevant to its investigations.
