Abinader postpones meetings with Dominican diaspora in Boston and New York

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader has decided to postpone, to a date yet to be determined, the meetings he had scheduled with the Dominican community in Boston and New York. According to his Press Director, Carlos Alberto Caminero, the decision was made because the president believes there was not enough time available to provide the diaspora with the attention it deserves.

In the meantime, Abinader will continue with his official agenda at the United Nations (UN), which includes delivering a speech before the international body and holding high-level bilateral meetings. These encounters aim to strengthen the Dominican Republic’s diplomatic and economic relations while addressing issues of mutual interest with world leaders.

The president’s scheduled activities include meetings with U.S. Secretary of State Marcos Rubio and UN Secretary-General António Guterres. He will also attend a reception dinner with U.S. President Donald Trump and hold a meeting with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
