Sky Caterers in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic earn perfect scores in Delta audits

Santo Domingo.- Sky Caterers’ in-flight kitchens at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Puerto Rico and Las Américas International Airport in the Dominican Republic received the highest possible ratings in Delta Air Lines’ food safety and quality audits. Both operations achieved a flawless 100% score in Food Processing Quality and Food Processing Safety, meeting Delta’s demanding standards.
Corporate Director of Catering for the Caribbean, Augusto Del Valle, praised the achievement, highlighting the rigorous nature of Delta’s audits. Operations Director at Las Américas, Ada Torres, noted that the inspections were carried out by Medina Quality, an independent international firm known for its unannounced evaluations, ensuring objectivity and accuracy.
The audits covered all areas of food preparation, packaging, storage, and delivery, along with interviews and checks of critical control systems. Records such as cleaning checklists, temperature controls, and product traceability were also reviewed. The final report confirmed Sky Caterers’ impeccable performance and commitment to operational excellence, reinforcing its role in meeting the highest standards of the airline industry.
