Abinader assures Summit of the Americas will be a great event

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader announced that the upcoming Summit of the Americas, scheduled for December in Punta Cana, will be a major event bringing together thousands of business leaders and heads of state from across the continent. He emphasized that the gathering will serve as a strategic platform to showcase the Dominican Republic’s investment potential and tourism appeal.

Speaking during La Semanal con la Prensa at the National Palace, Abinader said the event will extend beyond a political forum, featuring multiple “mini-summits” involving different regional sectors, including civil society. “It will be a great opportunity to promote the country. I am certain that the Dominican Republic is the best place to invest in Latin America,” he stated.

The Summit of the Americas will take place on December 3 and 4 in Punta Cana and marks one of the most significant diplomatic challenges for the Dominican government. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently clarified that Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela were not invited, noting that the decision aims to encourage broader participation and ensure the forum’s success.
