Dominican and British delegation discuss cooperation on technology
Santo Domingo.- Representative Vicente Sánchez Henríquez, president of the Permanent Commission on Information and Communication Technology of the Chamber of Deputies, met on Tuesday with a delegation of British parliamentarians led by Jessica Morden to discuss advancing collaboration in technology and digital governance.
During the meeting, both sides addressed key topics such as digital transformation, technological innovation, and the strengthening of parliamentary relations between the Dominican Republic and the United Kingdom.
Sánchez Henríquez highlighted the need for greater international cooperation in technology, stressing that innovation and digitalization are essential for institutional development and government transparency. The British delegation expressed its interest in exchanging experiences and legislative best practices in areas like digital education, cybersecurity, and public-sector modernization, with the goal of developing future joint initiatives that benefit both nations.
