Dominican Republic assumes presidency of Latin American Civil Aviation Commission
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic has assumed the presidency of the Executive Committee of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (CLAC) during the XXVI Ordinary Assembly of the regional body. The president of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Héctor Porcella, was elected to lead the committee, which also includes Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Panama in the vice-presidencies.
This appointment marks a new milestone in the Dominican Republic’s regional leadership in civil aviation and recognizes its contributions to strengthening air connectivity and cooperation among member nations.
Founded in 1973, CLAC unites the civil aviation authorities of Latin America and the Caribbean to promote coordination and harmonization of aeronautical policies. With this election, the Dominican Republic will play a key role in shaping regional strategies for air transport and integration.
