Fraud: FBI extradites four Dominicans for defrauding US senior citizens from the Dominican Republic

FBI catches Dominican scammers

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reported that four Dominican citizens were extradited to the United States for their alleged involvement in a transnational telephone scam that affected hundreds of older adults in the United States.

The investigation, led by the FBI’s Boston office, revealed that the defendants operated from a call center in the Dominican Republic, where they deceived seniors into believing they had to make urgent payments or money transfers under pretenses.

Public reaction and defense of vulnerable victims

Political commentator Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, reacted to the announcement by thanking the FBI Boston and its allies for “honoring, protecting, and defending senior citizens in the United States” in a message posted on his official X account (@FBIDDBongino).

Organized crime and international cooperation.
