“Routes of Hope” showcases Dominican art at Cervantes Institute in Rome

Italy.- The Embassy of the Dominican Republic to the Holy See, together with the Cervantes Institute in Rome, announced the inauguration of the exhibition “Routes of Hope: Contemporary Dominican Art”, which will open on Thursday, November 20 at 6:00 PM in the Dalí Room of the Cervantes Institute in Piazza Navona. The exhibition, part of the 2025 Jubilee Year: Jubilee of Hope, will remain open to the public until January 10, 2026.

Curated by Julian Kunhardt with the collaboration of Italian curator Rita Cerciello, the exhibition features works by notable Dominican artists. Ambassador Víctor Suárez Díaz highlighted that this initiative reinforces the Embassy’s mission to promote Dominican art and cultural identity on the international stage.

The exhibition includes pieces by Soraya Abu Naba’a, Guadalupe Casasnovas, Robert Castillo, Simón de los Santos, Jared Guerra Mirabal, Melanio Guzmán, Lizander Jiménez, Vanessa Languasco, Priscila López Loyo, Iris Pérez, Yermine Richardson, Victoria Thomen, Ruddy Taveras and Juan Trinidad.

“Routes of Hope” aims to foster a conversation between spirituality and contemporary expression, showcasing the richness and vitality of Dominican art in a context of global cultural significance.
