Juan Luis Guerra lights up the San Miguel Carnival in San Salvador with his performance
El Salvador.- Dominican music legend Juan Luis Guerra electrified El Salvador during his performance at the 66th San Miguel Carnival, where thousands gathered to witness a show many have already labeled unforgettable. As the night’s headlining act, Guerra delivered a vibrant set packed with his greatest hits, unleashing waves of excitement as the crowd sang, danced, and celebrated alongside him.
For nearly two and a half hours, the maestro performed with his band 4.40, blending bachata, merengue, and his signature fusion style. Images shared on his Instagram account revealed a massive audience filling the venue—fans of all ages recording the moment, singing in unison, and waving banners to greet the artist.
Guerra’s appearance formed part of the carnival’s effort to attract high-profile international performers, a lineup that this year also included Elvis Crespo and Calibre 50. The event, one of the most important cultural celebrations in El Salvador, historically draws hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the region.
After the show, Guerra expressed his gratitude on social media, writing: “Thank you, El Salvador! We were at the San Miguel Carnival and we still carry the joy of singing for you.”
