Mirex establishes contact with Dominicans in Middle East, shares assistance channels

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic (Mirex) announced Tuesday that it is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East to ensure the safety of Dominican citizens and diplomatic personnel in the region. The ministry said it remains in constant coordination with its embassies, which are in direct contact with local authorities in their respective host countries.

Mirex confirmed that it has established contact with two Dominican nationals currently in Iran and is providing them with the necessary consular assistance. Authorities also urged Dominicans who remain in the region to take preventive measures and maintain communication with the nearest Dominican diplomatic mission.

The ministry reiterated its commitment to keeping the public informed and taking all necessary measures to protect Dominicans abroad.
