Strong winds cause structural damage at Malecón Center

Santo Domingo.- Heavy rains and strong wind gusts this Monday caused the partial collapse of a metal structure at the Malecón Center shopping mall in the National District.

The incident sent debris falling into the parking area, damaging several parked vehicles. Videos shared on social media show powerful winds shaking nearby trees as parts of the structure break off and are thrown across the area.

Despite the material damage and debris accumulation, no injuries have been reported. The incident occurred amid adverse weather conditions affecting the capital.
