Taiwan govt. makes rice donation to residents in Santo Domingo East

Santo Domingo.– Republic of China Ambassador to the Dominican Republic TangJi-zen and Dominican Senate president Cristina Lizardo headed a donation event in Santo Domingo East where local residents received rice from the Taiwanese government as well as Christmas baskets.

During the ceremony Ambassador Tang Ji-zen said that he hoped that "by donating these baskets many Dominican households can have a happy Christmas."

He also assured that "the government of Taiwan will continue to support cooperation projects of President Danilo Medina, Senator Cristina Lizardo and First Lady Candida Montilla."
