US Consulate back to work as unknown substance found

Santo Domingo.- The US embassy on Thurs. said it will resume all consular operations and services in its regular schedule as of Friday.

The US Embassy on Thurs. suspended all its work when it found an unknown substance in the consular section.

In its statement Thurs. afternoon, the embassy doesn’t specify the substance found, or how it got there.

“All persons whose consular or USCIS appointment has been affected this Thursday, November 16 will be contacted to reschedule their appointment. If you need to urgently reschedule your appointment, write to the email: santodomingovisas@state.gov,” says part of the statement posted on their social networks yesterday.
