Medina off to Panama for Central America conclave

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina will travel to Panama Thurs. morning to attend the Meeting of Heads of State and Government of the Central American Integration System (SICA), where his country will assume the bloc’s temporary presidency today, the National Palace announced Wed.

Medina will receive the pro tempore presidency of SICA from Panamanian president Juan Carlos Varela.

The head of state will be accompanied by Foreign Affairs minister Miguel Vargas, who is already in Panama, and Presidency spokesman, Roberto Rodríguez Marchena, among other senior officials.
