Taiwanese coffee and cocoa buyers coming to strike deals

Santo Domingo.- Taiwan’s Coffee and Cocoa Trade Delegation for Central America and the Caribbean will visit the country from March 15 to 19, to promote trade and investment in that sector of the Dominican Republic.

The Central America Trade Office (CATO) headed by its executive director Wen, Yao-Jen organizes the mission for the Taiwanese business leaders.

The CATO assists Taiwanese coffee and cocoa importers in exploring business opportunities between Taiwan and the Dominican Republic.

The delegation’s tight agenda includes a Business Roundtable with Dominican coffee growers and producers, coordinated by Taipei’s Embassy in the country and the export and investment agency ProDominicana.

Moreover, the mission will visit several public and private institutions including the Industry and Commerce Ministry CEI-RD, the Dominican Coffee Institute (INDOCAFÉ), and the National Cocoa Commission.
