Lawmaker says US$249.8 dam in the SW finished by April 2020.

Barahona, Dominican Republic.- Senator Eddy Mateo Vásquez, affirmed Mon. that construction on the dam at Monte Grande (southwest) continues at a good pace, and predicts it will be finished as scheduled on April 2020.

The Barahona province lawmaker revealed that of the US$249.8 million that the project costs, over RD$3.0 billion (US$150.0 million) figure in next year’s budget.

“Monte Grande is doing well, in the sense that until now there has been so much progress in the works that 30% has already been executed to date,” said legislator of the ruling party (PLD).
