Tropical wave brings downpours early Tuesday

Santo Domingo.- Starting Tuesday morning there’ll be downpours and thunderstorms around the country, the National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecast Monday.

It said a tropical wave located over Lesser Antilles will cause the downpours, to last through Wednesday.

Meteorology warns of probable heavy flooding in urban and poorly drained areas. “Meanwhile another tropical wave accompanied by a low pressure system around 1,300 kilometers southwest of the Cape Verde islands shows signs of organization, but still with a low probability of becoming a tropical cyclone so far.”

Onamet adds that the seasonably high temperatures will continue
