Lieutenant of the National Police found dead inside a vehicle in Jarabacoa
The lifeless body of a National Police lieutenant with a shot to the head was found on General Norberto Tiburcio avenue, near La Confluencia park in the Jarabacoa municipality, La Vega province. Robert Manuel Medrano Jiménez, 49, served in a detachment of the National Police in the city of Santiago. Medrano Jiménez was found inside a gray Mitsubishi Montero SUV around 8:00 p.m.
Supposedly the deceased had a weapon in his hands, for which they presume Medrano Jiménez would have taken his own life. Members of the investigation department of the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) attended the place, together with the forensic doctor Rafael Domínguez of the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif).
Robert Manuel’s body was taken to the Inacif in the city of Santiago to carry out the corresponding autopsy and determine if he really died from the impact of the bullet.
