Experts praise INFOTEP’s Unified Network for revolutionizing technical training

Santo Domingo.- Representatives from the industrial, free trade zone, and union sectors have lauded the newly launched Unified Network of Technical Vocational Training by INFOTEP as a groundbreaking initiative poised to transform technical education in the Dominican Republic.
Nelson Espinal Báez and Eduardo Bogaert, representing the Association of Industrialists of the Northern Region (AIREN) and the Dominican Free Zones Association respectively, along with Rafael “Pepe” Abreu, president of the National Confederation of Trade Union Unity (CNUS), unanimously praised the network’s potential to enhance access to top-tier technical training nationwide.
“This network will enable the central headquarters to remain interconnected with all centers, promoting high-level technical training across the country simultaneously, quickly, and efficiently,” said Báez.
Bogaert described the network as a significant advancement, emphasizing, “Technological change isn’t coming—it’s already here. We must leverage and learn these new tools to improve worker training.”
Echoing these sentiments, Abreu highlighted the network’s importance for strengthening worker training both domestically and for the diaspora. “This is one of the most significant advancements implemented in this institution, aligning with the technological progress occurring globally,” he stated.
The Unified Network of Technical Vocational Training not only promises quality education but also provides a secure, modern learning environment. It aligns with the country’s vision of adapting to technological changes and improving technical education for all.
The network boasts several key features aimed at enhancing connectivity, security, and teaching quality within training centers, offering participants continuous access to educational content. Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including touch screens, electronic boards, and video conferencing platforms, facilitating in-person, hybrid, or remote learning in a secure and conducive environment.
