Chamber of Deputies recognizes Actress Zoé Saldaña with official resolution

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Chamber of Deputies has approved a resolution recognizing actress Zoé Yadira Saldaña Nazario (Zoé Saldaña) for her outstanding achievements in the film industry. The initiative, proposed by representatives Sadoky Duarte, Erika Mira, and Juliana O’Neal, highlights Saldaña’s successful career as an actress, model, producer, and philanthropist. It also acknowledges her historic achievement as the first Dominican-born actress to win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

As part of the recognition, the Chamber of Deputies will present Saldaña with an official scroll during a ceremony at the National Congress.

In the same session, legislators also approved multiple resolutions urging the government to improve infrastructure in various districts, including roads, bridges, street lighting, and sports and cultural facilities.
