Santo Domingo Arena to open in 2025

Santo Domingo.- In an interview with Mercado magazine, businessman Saymon Díaz revealed new details about the Santo Domingo Arena, a groundbreaking entertainment venue set to open on October 17, 2025, with a performance by the Argentine band Erreway. Positioned to become the Caribbean’s premier event destination, the arena aims to transform the region’s entertainment landscape.

Located on Jacobo Majluta Avenue in Santo Domingo Norte, the arena spans over 70,000 square meters and will accommodate more than 12,000 attendees. Designed from the ground up to meet the highest technical standards, it will host concerts, trade shows, family productions, and corporate events. Features include cutting-edge soundproofing, air-conditioned covered areas, parking for over 2,000 vehicles, and comprehensive logistics support for performers and staff.

Built with a modular European design for rapid and efficient construction, the venue emphasizes comfort, acoustics, and versatility. Díaz confirmed that seven major events are already scheduled, many with international acts previously deterred by inadequate infrastructure. With the Santo Domingo Arena, the Dominican Republic is poised to become a major player in the global entertainment industry.
