Sammy Sosa returns to Chicago!

Franklin Mirabal

Chicago – The wait is over. Finally, the Dominican Sammy Sosa will return to Chicago this weekend.

As scheduled, Sosa will be at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, on Chicago’s northwest side, on Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th of this month.

Sosa, who hit 545 of his 609 home runs with the Chicago Cubs, returns to where he experienced his best moments as a player.

Relations with Cubs owners have been frosty since gossip about allegedly leaving the game early in 2004, but many people are pushing to change that.

Sosa is now ready to clear up any issues with the Cubs.

A dinner with special guests is planned, during which Sammy will share photos, give hugs, and sign autographs with fans.

The only player with three 60-homer seasons in significant league history was also an idol in Chicago.

His high point was the two “Home Run Battles” against Mark McGwire.

Initial reports indicate a lot of interest among fans in sharing with Sammy.

So stay tuned for more news on his historic return to Chicago, and may there be more such visits to come.
