Juan Soto signs record $765M deal with Mets

New York.- Juan Soto and the New York Mets have reportedly agreed to a historic 15-year, $765 million contract, setting a new record for Major League Baseball deals. This surpasses Shohei Ohtani’s 10-year, $700 million contract with the Dodgers, previously the largest in MLB history. Soto’s deal includes no deferred payments and features a $75 million signing bonus.

The Mets’ offer, averaging $51 million annually, outbid the Yankees, who proposed $760 million over 16 years.
