Guido Gómez Mazara recognized in New York for telecommunications modernization efforts

New York City.- Guido Gómez Mazara, President of the Board of Directors of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL), was honored in New York City for his contributions to modernizing the telecommunications sector in the Dominican Republic. The recognition was presented by New York Assemblyman George Álvarez, a Dominican-American representative of District 78, home to approximately 142,000 residents.

The award highlights INDOTEL’s international impact under Gómez Mazara’s leadership, which has driven advancements in regulation, digital infrastructure, and Internet accessibility. Álvarez praised Gómez Mazara’s vision, stating that his policies have played a key role in reducing the digital divide and promoting technological inclusion across the country.
