Street in Dajabón named after singer Fernando Villalona

Santo Domingo.- A street in Dajabón has been officially named in honor of renowned Dominican singer Fernando Villalona, a gesture that deeply moved the artist. In a video shared on his Instagram account, Villalona expressed his gratitude and affection for the town, saying, “Dajabón, I love you,” as he unveiled the new street sign.

Joined by his brother Aramis Villalona, Dajabón’s mayor Santiago Riverón, and other officials, Villalona thanked those who made the tribute possible. The singer reflected on his deep emotional connection to the town, saying it had left a lasting impact on his life since childhood.

“Dajabón has shaped who I am. If I hadn’t been born in Montecristi, I would have wanted to be born in Dajabón,” he wrote in a heartfelt message.
