Princess Leonor’s ship departs for New York

Santo Domingo.- The Spanish Navy’s training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano, which currently hosts Princess Leonor as part of her military training, departed Santo Domingo on Saturday, heading to New York—its final stop in the Americas before returning to Spain.
The vessel set sail from Punta Torrecilla dock at 11:00 a.m. local time, following a visit that began last Monday when it arrived from Colombia. A brief farewell ceremony was held, featuring the national anthems of Spain and the Dominican Republic. After final system checks and well-wishes for a safe journey, the ship officially departed.
