President Macron to meet with Abinader today

France.- President Luis Abinader is scheduled to meet today with French President Emmanuel Macron at 3:00 p.m. Paris time (9:00 p.m. Dominican time). Although the specific agenda has not been disclosed, Abinader has frequently used his meetings with international leaders to address the ongoing crisis in Haiti. During this visit, the two leaders are also expected to discuss bilateral cooperation, the Caribbean’s role in global geopolitics, climate change, and opportunities for investment and sustainable development in the region. The meeting will take place at the Palais des Rois Sardes in Paris.
On Wednesday, he will travel to Geneva, Switzerland, where he will participate in a significant global event hosted by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Abinader is the first Dominican president to be officially invited to attend the ILO’s High-Level Meeting of the Global Coalition for Social Justice at the Palais des Nations, UN headquarters, in recognition of his support for the tripartite model involving government, employers, and workers, as well as his dedication to social justice and decent work principles.
