Alofoke summoned over defamation complaint filed by comedian Manolo Ozuna

Santo Domingo.- The National District Attorney’s Office has summoned businessman and media personality Esmelin Santiago Matías García, known as Alofoke, to appear on July 10 at 10:00 a.m. in connection with a defamation and slander complaint filed by comedian and actor Manolo Ozuna Carmona.
The case is being handled by the High Technology Crimes and Offenses Unit, under Law 53-07, which governs offenses committed through digital platforms. The complaint, filed by attorney José Valdez Fernández on behalf of Ozuna, claims that Matías made defamatory and insulting remarks during one of his program broadcasts.
The lawsuit cites alleged violations of Articles 21 and 22 of Law 53-07, which specifically address the unlawful use of digital media to spread defamatory content. Valdez stated that he will present evidence proving his client was targeted and insulted publicly by the defendant.
