Dominican Republic remains undefeated in Pool B

Lima.– Defending champions Dominican Republic overcame Cuba 3-1 (25-27, 25-14, 25-22, 25-21) on Monday to remain undefeated after three outings in Pool B of the XIV Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup at Eduardo Dibos Coliseum of Lima.

After a very close first set, the Dominican team dictated the pace and was in control benefitting from the huge number of errors made by the Cuban side (38 to 19).

Dominican captain Prisilla Rivera highlighted on the importance of the new victory on their way to booking a ticket to the Grand Prix. "Now we have to think about tomorrow’s match and recover from the mistakes we committed today."

Marcos Kwiek, coach of Dominican Republic: "In today’s match we saw two good teams who know each other very well and that’s why is so important to take advantage of the opponents’ errors. Every game is tough and we have to keep working and achieve our goal of reaching the Grand Prix."
