New York Liberty selects Dominican Esmery Martinez in the WNBA draft

New York, US.- In the 2024 WNBA draft, the New York Liberty made significant moves, starting with the selection of Marquesha Davis from Ole Miss with the 11th overall pick. They followed this up by drafting Esmery Martinez from Arizona and Jessika Carter from Mississippi State in the second round, securing picks 17th and 23rd, respectively. Lastly, the Liberty picked Kaitlyn Davis from USC with the 35th overall pick.

Hailing from Hato Mayor del Rey, Dominican Republic, she consistently ranked in the top 10 of her conference for steals per game over the past four seasons.
