Tourism Minister delivers renovated Boca de Cachón

Jimaní, DR.- Tourism Minister David Collado inaugurated the renovated Boca de Cachón in Independencia province, fulfilling a commitment by President Luis Abinader. The project, with an investment of RD$102.8 million, aims to boost local commerce, employment, and the regional economy.

The renovation, led by the Committee for the Implementation of Infrastructure in Tourist Areas (Ceiztur), transformed 13,000 square meters into a modern recreational space. The upgrades include a viewing point, plazas, steps, ramps, showers, benches, picnic tables, and green areas, significantly enhancing the visitor experience.

Collado emphasized that the project responds to long-standing community demands and represents a major step toward improving tourism infrastructure in the region.
